Artform is delighted to offer a new course with artist Mick O’Dea. The emphasis over the four day-course will be to work directly from observation. Participants will be encouraged to have two to three paintings running side by side simultaneously by day three.

Weather permitting we will work painting outside for a day or two.

Participants will be invited to construct a composition, working inside, to include an interior and exterior perspective.

We will have a clothed model for a day or two depending on the weather, who will sit for us. The model may feature in the composition Mick will ask participants to undertake.

The main thrust of the exercises will be to encourage flexibility and adaptivity in one’s studio practice.

* The course takes place in Artform modern light-filled seaside studio with 24hr access for each visiting artist, and runs from 11am to 5pm on the first day and from 10am to 4pm on the subsequent days. Cost does not include accommodation, on request Artform offers artist accommodation options. Details on art materials and safety will be provided after signing up to the course.
