Workshop | Landscape Painting and Urban Plein Air with Annette Smyth at Solstice Arts Centre

Over two days exhibiting artist Annette Smyth guides two workshops on indoor and plein air landscape painting. The first workshop includes a tour of the exhibition The First Frontier Was the Horizon followed by practical demonstrations on image composition, colour theory, and paint application before participants create an acrylic painting from a projected image. In the second
workshop Annette will demonstrate her use of a viewfinder to select a scene for painting before moving outdoors with participants, who will choose their own location to paint
under Annette’s guidance.
