Workshop | Slow Looking with Anne Cleary and Denis Connolly
The presence/absence of certain freshwater invertebrates tells a story of a water body’s health, because some invertebrates are more sensitive to pollutants than others, so we can use them as “indicator species” to determine water quality. Using a range of viewing devices we can look closely and draw these fabulous little creatures, a wonderful moment of combined art and science to help open our eyes to the natural world. Join artist Anne Cleary and marine biologist Rachel O’Malley to have a closer look at some of the tiny creatures that inhabit our waterways.
This event is suitable for families.
