Description

ABOUT THE CLASS

Life Drawing is a drawing of the human form (nude) in any of its various shapes and postures using any of the drawing media either as highly detailed, anatomically correct renderings, or loose and expressive sketches.

The class will be hosted live and untutored from the Schoolhouse for Art life room. Model poses will be directed by our artist in residence.

A professional model (female/male nude) will pose in a number of short gestures and medium poses during the AM session and a single long pose for the PM session (ideal for those who want to paint).

Morning Session | 10am–1pm
10:00–11:15: A series of shorter poses (great for warming up or quick studies).
11:15–11:30: Tea break.
11:30–13:00: A single longer pose begins, suitable for both portraiture & figure pieces.

Afternoon Session | 2–5pm
Continuation of the same pose from late morning.

You can still attend just the morning, just the afternoon, or both. This new format will offer artists the opportunity to paint/draw the same pose for 4.5hrs. The sessions remain untutored, open to all levels, and rooted in the belief that drawing from life is one of the most important ways to grow as an artist.

NOTES:
Spaces prioritised for block bookings
Single classes are not drop in and must be pre-booked (if available)

AM or PM session: €30
Full Day: €50

Please let us know your preferences and hopefully we can accommodate you.
