For the first Workspace Social of 2020, Kerry Guinan will talk about biting the hand that feeds, juggling different types of work, a life-altering workshop with Franko B, and her current practice.
Kerry Guinan is a curator, researcher, activist and, primarily, a conceptual artist. Her disruptive art practice has embroiled communities and sites in staged conflicts with galleries, councils, police, the state, and art audiences. A current Masters by Research student at Limerick School of Art & Design, her recent projects include the curation of TULCA Festival of Visual Arts: TACTICAL MAGIC in Galway and a residency in Bill Drummond’s Curfew Tower in Antrim.
Admission is free and all are welcome. Don’t forget to bring your lunch!
The Workspace Social is a weekly event developed as an alternative format for artists’ talks and networking. Every Thursday, a local or visiting artist is invited to join us for lunch: to discuss a recent project, to share new research or to propose an activity. Participants are welcome to bring along their lunch and to eat with the artist.
