Artist Talk | Faces and Places at The Hunt Museum

Thursday 30 March, 1pm.

Gerry Andrews will be in conversation with Alan English, group Editorial Director with Iconic Newspapers. They will discuss Gerry’s love of photography, his travels and his current exhibition Faces and Places: A Photographer’s Journey.

Gerry Andrews’ interest in photography started as a nineteen year old while working in The Limerick Leader. In recent years, he has traveled extensively throughout South East Asia, South America, India and Cuba. In 2011, he spent a period of time making a photographic record of the vanishing tribes in the Omo Valley in Ethiopia and this work was subsequently featured in a profile of him on RTE television. He has received numerous photographic awards for his images. He has a specific interest in social documentary photography and was awarded a Fellowship by the Irish Photographic Federation for his work in this genre.
