Arts Council Announces Results of Visual Artists’ Workspace Scheme for 2015

arts_council_logoThe results of the Visual Artists’ Workspace Scheme for 2015 have been announced. This Scheme offers grants of up to a maximum of €30,000 towards the running costs of visual artists’ workspaces. In keeping with the Council’s policy document ‘Visual Artists’ Workspaces in Ireland – A New Approach’, this scheme has the aim of assisting artists workspaces throughout the country to provide the best possible environment for working visual artists and, where feasible, to enable a level of subsidy for resident visual artists.

In total, 26 eligible applications were received, 16 of which were awarded funding. The total amount awarded was €155,000.



The 2015 Awardees are:

  • Basic Space, Dublin: €10,000
  • Sample Studios: Cork: €16,000
  • Broadstone Studios, Dublin: €25,000
  • Hive Emerging, Waterford: €1,800
  • Ormond Studios, Dublin: €4,000
  • Cork Artists Collective, Cork: €9,000
  • Artspace Space Studios, Galway: €20,000
  • Artlink, Donegal: €5,000
  • Engage Studios, Galway: €9,000
  • Cló Ceardlann na gCnoc, Donegal: €9,000
  • Monster Truck, Dublin: €7,000
  • Pallas Studios, Dublin: €17,000
  • Custom House Studios, Mayo: €7,000
  • New Art Studios, Dublin: €7,200
  • Creative Spark, Louth: €3,000
  • Lorg Printmakers, Galway: €5,000
