Arts Council NI Annual Funding Programme 2015-16 Forum

acniThe Arts Council Northern Ireland is organising a series of information and discussion forums post AFP decisions for 2015/16 with a view to further planning for the next CSR period. The format will include an overview from representatives of the Strategic Investment Board, Colin Stutt and Stephanie Morrow, who have undertaken an analysis of financial trends over the last five years in terms of the ACNI funded organisations, and some related benchmarking of these trends with support to arts organisations in other parts of the UK and Ireland. The purpose of this is to both inform and stimulate debate on critical planning issues for the future. We will introduce the Sustainability programme and then turn to specific art form or specialist areas and how we might find new ways of working given the financial difficulties the sector continues to face. Please come with your ideas for future planning: we are particularly keen to hear your views on efficiencies within and across art forms to reduce core costs e.g. shared back office operations, marketing platforms, balance between core and programming and income generation strategies.
