Deadline: Monday 23 January 2017 at 5pm
Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, 5 – 9 Temple Bar, Dublin 2
Temple Bar Gallery + Studios is accepting applications for the TBG+S Recent Graduate Residency 2017.
Temple Bar Gallery + Studios Recent Graduate Residency is a professional development opportunity aimed at recent graduate artists in Ireland. Now in its fourth year, the residency offers a 12 month studio at TBG+S with added professional development supports.
The residency, beginning in Spring 2017, provides a large free studio for one year, in addition to a €1,000 stipend, €500 international travel bursary, a variety of institutional supports including mentoring and a programme of visiting curators’ visits.
The opportunity is aimed specifically at Irish artists who have graduated from a BA/BFA in Fine Art in any recognised university in Ireland or abroad in the past three years. Graduating classes of 2014, 2015 and 2016 are eligible to apply. The successful candidate will either be currently based in Ireland or intending to return to live and work in Ireland during the period of the award. This opportunity is aimed at artists who have not yet completed an MA programme in fine art, and so those currently studying for or who completed their MA are uneligable to apply.
The Recent Graduate Residency recipient was Avril Corroon in 2016, Hannah Fitz in 2015 and Conor Mary Foy in 2014.
