CE Scheme Placement | Assistant to Office Manager at Cork Community Art Link

artlink-logo-corkCork Community Art Link is a participative community arts organisation based in Blackpool, Cork City. They encourage meaningful collaborations between artists and people that result in the creation of great art, bringing creativity to places where people live, work and play. Their annual programme includes the Dragon of Shandon parade, the St. Patrick’s Day parade and numerous outreach and research projects.

They are currently recruiting an Assistant to the Office Manager. This is an administrative position in a highly creative environment where no two days are the same. Candidates must be eligible for a Community Employment scheme (normal criteria is that candidates be over the age of 25 and in receipt of a social welfare payment for minimum 12 months).

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Processing phone and email enquiries
• General office administration
• Diary management (for Artistic Director)
• Social media management
• Induction of new employees and volunteer placements
• Basic volunteer management
• Assisting the General Manager in all tasks assigned, including helping to coordinate the smooth running of all projects in our annual programme.

The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in arts administration and will become part of a passionate and creative team. Experience in Microsoft Word is essential, Excel is desirable. Facebook and Twitter are also desirable. The successful candidate will have the full support of the General Manager but must be able to work independently and on own initiative.
