CE Scheme Placement: Project Assistant, Cork Film Centre, Cork

This position is only open to people who are eligible for Community Employment Scheme, i.e. over 25 years of age and in receipt of a Dept. of Social Protection payment for 12 months or more. Work Hours:19.5 hours per week.
The duties of Project Assistant include:
* Front of House Duties such as operation of Telephone and Reception.
Video Editing
Sound Editing
Digital Marketing & PR
* The project assistant will support and assist the Venue Manager in delivering the CFC programme of events, lectures, workshops, specific art projects, residencies and more.
* The Projects Assistant will assist the Venue Manager in research and admin support, Public Relations and other activities in relation to the successful implementation of the programme.
*The Project Assistant will have basic computer skills, preferably with some knowledge of Photoshop and/or a Video Edit package, with a keen interest in new technology.
The aim of the scheme is to provide continuous training over a 12-month period to a prospective edit suite operative. The project will allow people who are unemployed gain training in an area that is striving to develop its infrastructure with skilled workers.
