Crimson Waves Workshops with Kathryn Crowley, Limerick

As part of her MA in Social Arts Practice, Kathryn Crowley is exploring issues around women, menstruation and general health.

Many of us work, study and look after other people full-on instead of resting at ‘moon time’.

•Why did the ancients rest during the time of the ‘crimson wave’?
•How can we apply self-care in this busy, busy world?
•What creative processes can we use in order to be gentle with ourselves when we have our period….. or indeed at any time of the month?

Kathryn Crowley will be available to groups (for the next 5 months) in Limerick city and County on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10am-7pm. Available to meet in your homes, community centres, workplaces., cafes or anywhere that a group of women can gather.

-Creativity sessions will last for 2 or maybe 2.5 hours, finishing with some gentle yoga.
Kathryn Crowley is a qualified yoga teacher (with insurance), she will share yoga practice with all groups as a thank-you for participating. Donations towards the cost of art materials and transport would be most welcome.

Finished works of art are not the primary focus; she is more interested in organic process, peer learning and responding to topics that come up in conversation through various forms of creativity.

Fee: None. Donations towards transport and art materials appreciated.
