Curator Talks at Belfast Open Studios, 16 Nov.

Friday 16 November, 2pm to 4pm.

Belfast Open Studios returns for its fifth annual insight into the tremendous creative activity that is going on all around us, all of the time.

Speed Curating will bring curators from galleries near and far to Belfast to meet with artists. Speed Curating entitles you to a one on one meetings with curators – an opportunity to show them your work, present your ideas and make connections. This is a hugely popular event for curators and artists and has led to multiple exhibitions, working relationships, and collaborations.

To accompany our Speed Curating event, Visual Artists Ireland have invited four of the visiting curators to give short introductions to their practice and the galleries they work with.

* Anna Ciabach – ( Monopol Gallery, Warsaw)
* Ika Sienkiewicz-Nowacka (Centre for Contemporary Art, Warsaw)
* Dean Brierley – (Caustic Coastal, Salford)
* Nora Hickey – (Centre Culturel Irlandais, Paris)

Each curator will talk for around 30 minutes to give you an insight into their own working practices, and help prepare you for the speed curating sessions that will take place the following day – Saturday 17th November.

Location: Visual Artists Ireland [NI], Belfast Offices
