Curatorial Talk | Curators Collective at Ormston House, Limerick

Thursday 6 April, 5.30pm

This week Curators Collective will meet in Ormston House, Cultural Resource Centre for a curatorial talk by Niamh Brown on their current exhibition Scissors Cut Paper Wrap Stone. This exhibition was co-curated by newly appointed Eva International Director Matt Packer and curator Alissa Kleist.

Curators Collective was developed as a way for Limerick City Gallery of Art with The Shinnors Scholar to introduce young people, to curatorial practice and encourage an informal educational space to critically discuss curation and all that this entails.

The Collective will meet regularly on Thursday evenings at 5:30 in Limerick City Gallery of Art. These informal get-togethers will discuss the current exhibitions install, attend programmed workshops/talks or idea development sessions or head to one of the local galleries to discuss their current exhibitions. The program is designed to respond to the group’s needs and will take requests and suggestions from members in the ongoing program.
