The Open Programme
The Open Programme offers artists, photographers, curators and organisations the chance to put forward your scheduled events and join the festival programme. PhotoIreland welcome submissions of events relating to Photography and contemporary image culture, from national and international individuals and organisations, looking to develop their own events in Ireland during the month of May. The events could be exhibitions, installations, performances, films, shorts, videos, talks or workshops. All participants will be featured in the festival catalogue and website, and will receive festival catalogues to distribute during the event.

There is a contribution fee of €125 towards the marketing materials, payable by bank transfer or Paypal.

PhotoIreland will not assign venues though the Open Programme and encourage you to look at the maps in the previous editions of the festival and consider getting in contact with the venues listed in previous Open Programmes.

Open call for the Marsh’s Library
PhotoIreland Festival invites national and international, emerging and established photographers to submit to the 8th edition of the PhotoIreland Festival, taking place in May 2017. This year, rather than a particular theme or concept, artists are invited to engage with a particular space: Marsh’s Library.

One selected artist will be exhibited at Marsh’s Library as part of the main exhibitions of this year’s edition.
Please note there is an administration fee of €10 per submission.

The Recount of Conflict Open Call
PhotoIreland Festival is calling artists to submit work that was created to examine any type of conflict and its effects, to be exhibited at Pallas Projects, 4 to 14 May 2017.

The Recount of Conflict is open to projects focused on the disruption of the everyday life of individuals, families, communities, organisations, countries, etc. Whether dealing with ‘race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status’, established and emerging artists are welcome to put forward their works.

Please note, there is an administration fee of €10 per submission.

PhotoIreland Festival will pay artists fees to the artists selected according to standard guidelines and individual agreements with each artist. PhotoIreland Festival will cover the costs of designing, printing and distributing any materials. PhotoIreland Festival will cover no costs incurred in regards to travel, accommodation, subsistence, and so on, unless otherwise stated.
