Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Regional Consultations on Culture 2025
The deadline for submissions for the Culture 2025 discussion document is extended to 31 October 2015
The Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Heather Humphreys TD, has announced details of regional consultation meetings which will take place as part of the formation of Culture 2025, Ireland’s first national cultural policy. Minister Humphreys published a discussion document on Culture 2025 in August and announced a public consultation process.
Regional consultation meetings will be held in five locations, Cavan, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Kilkenny, in the coming weeks, with the consultation process finishing with a symposium in Dublin in mid-October. The meetings have been organised in conjunction with Local Authority Arts Officers.
The public meetings are as follows:
Cavan, Town Hall – 15th September 2015
Cork, City Hall: – 25th September 2015
Galway, Town Hall Theatre – 2nd October 2015
Limerick, Hunt Museum – 8th October 2015
Kilkenny, City Offices – 13th October 2015
Dublin, Great Hall, Royal Hospital Kilmainham (Irish Museum of Modern Art) – Monday 19th October
