Design and Crafts Council Award | Future Makers 2017

The Design and Crafts Council of Ireland as of today are now accepting applications for Future Makers 2017.

With a prize fund totalling €24,500 for 2017, Future Makers Awards and Supports is one of the largest prize-funded award programmes in Europe for students and emerging makers, rewarding the next generation of Irish creatives and helping them to develop a career in the craft and design industry.

Future Makers has two categories. You can enter in one of the two categories; the student category or the emerging maker category.

Category 1. Student:
Transform your college or training craft & design course briefs into the opportunity to make exciting and innovative work towards your Future Makers Awards and Supports Application. Work towards activating your creative dreams throughout the college year.

Category 2. Emerging Maker:
Transform your client’s craft and design projects into opportunities to submit innovative and excellently made work towards your Future Makers Awards and Supports Application. Work towards activating your creative dreams throughout the professional year.
Please note the emerging maker category refers to those who are within 6 years of starting out in their creative career.
