AAEX (Art as Exchange) are celebrating their 5th anniversary with a 3-day art event at St. Helena Park in Dundalk. It will feature variety of art installations, workshops and demonstrations for all ages with a common ethos of making art from found objects or re-used materials alongside some much-loved works from the AAEX history, like the 5 meter high AAEX Flamingo, which was installed in the town center as part of the Dundalk SEEK Festival 2020.
The 3-day celebration will be kicked off by a Culture Night event called ‘Awash with Colour’, on Friday 17th September, 6 pm, at which AAEX and the Monaghan Poets and Song Writers Group (MOPOSOGS) present artworks and recitals of poems, prose and songs from a collaboration in which visual artists responded to texts by writers and vice versa.
Access to all events is free, but please note that places are limited, and booking is required for workshops, demonstrations and the Culture Night event. For the full program and booking see https://aaex.artspark.ie/artinthepark
