 er of textiles\, as we consider the profound influence of the Quilts of Ge
 e’s Bend on contemporary art and her own work as a textile artist. Drawi
 ng on her acclaimed book Women’s Work: From Feminine Arts to Feminist Ar
 t (2022)\; Gipson shares a maker’s perspective on how textiles—once di
 smissed as mere craft—have become powerful tools of cultural resistance\
 , identity\, and expression. Anchored in feminist and intersectional think
 ing\, this talk weaves together art history and personal insight\, from a 
 hands-on textiles practice to champion ‘women’s work’ as both deeply
