Art Exhibition, Air of Probability by Michelle Colfer Opens 25th January
A new exhibition by Michelle Colfer opens in the Creative Hub, Wexford on Saturday 25th January at 4pm. The exhibition features a selection of work from the past three years and will be on display until the 22nd February.
In the exhibition ‘Air of Probability’, Michelle Colfer presents a body of print based work in the sculptural context of installation and mixed media pieces.
Thematically the work explores various ideas related to identity and how aspects of life such as illness can impact or change identity. More recently, Michelle began to look at the connection between dreams and identity and this led to her work adapting a dreamlike aesthetic which is explored in this exhibition.
Michelle Colfer is a multidisciplinary visual artist working primarily with print-making, origami, and installation. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from the Wexford Campus School of Art and Design, IT Carlow, and was longlisted for the RDS Visual Art Awards 2017.
