RIVER DEEL WALKING TOUR ASKEATON CONTEMPORARY ARTS: WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBOURHOOD 2022 SATURDAY 18 JUNE: 4pm beginning at CORAL LEISURE
Join local ecologist MIKE O’CONNOR for a walking tour of the River Deel. Traditionally known for its many swimming spots, such as The Leap, The Lick and The Cot, the river has in recent times suffered from substantial pollution. To reverse this harsh reality involves active community involvement, an impetus O’Connor continues to work on with Askeaton Ballysteen Community Council and the West Limerick Deel Anglers. The tour will explore the Deel’s beauty and examine the need for sustainable conservation.
