Please join us for a wonderful evening of readings. This is a live spoken-word event. Readings will be performed by the participants of the Existing in Dialogue workshop. Participants are responding to Roseanne Lynch’s exhibition Semblance at The Lavit Gallery. There will also be an open-mic opportunity for the reading of art writing, poetry, criticism or other. The event will run from 6.30pm – 8pm on Friday the 29th of April as part of Faoin Spéir at the Wandesford Quay. We look forward to welcoming you!

The Paper is an online forum that discusses and responds to contemporary visual art events in Cork city and county. We recognise the effectiveness of the online world as an outlet and a space for open discussion. We aim to champion the real life art experience and foster a culture of reflection and engagement with the Cork Art Scene. Created by artists Sarah Long and Niamh Murphy, The Paper engages with a variety of different creatives and writers.

Existing in Dialogue is supported by Backwater Artists Group, Cork Printmakers, the Lavit Gallery and Cork City Council Arts Office through the Arts Council of Ireland’s In The Open – Faoin Spéir award: A curated programme of multi-disciplinary, inclusive arts activities in community outdoor spaces running from July 2021-April 2022
