The Darkroom is delighted to host an Artist Talk for our Graduate Artists in Residence Grace O’Leary, Clara McSweeney and Chloe-Louise Scanlan.

Grace, Clara and Chloe were awarded the Graduate Residency in November 2021 and have been working on their projects since then. ‘Misaligned’, their group show, opens on February 22nd and runs until March 11th 2022. The talk is part of their Artist in Residence Programme.

Come join us on Thursday March 10th for a dynamic conversation around their arts practices, projects, inspirations and residency experience. The conversation is moderated by Mella Travers, CEO, Founder & Art Director at The Darkroom.

A bit more about our wonderful residents:

Chloe-Louise Scanlan is an Irish visual artist who enjoys combining photography with sculpture, moving image, sound and various art mediums where appropriate. While her work is concerned with social commentary it also deals with self-expression and the celebration of the image as a physical object. Recently, her work has involved the analysis of virtual reality and online identity by looking at how these operate in society. Some of the themes her practice has covered deal with trauma and the alienated mind, urban loneliness, self-representation online and pictorialism. Chloe is a graduate of IADT Photography.
