ASSETS is a project led by artist David Beattie happening across multiple sites in Dublin city centre from the 11th of October – 14th November 2021 with contributions from Cillian Finnerty, Róisín Power Hackett, Ellie Niblock and Laurence Counihan.

Through a series of interactions with physical, augmented and virtual objects, ASSETS focuses on human touch and the role of the human hand in image recognition and digital technologies. The project hopes to discuss the complex network of physical and non-physical interactions we now experience as a society, thinking about the haptic feedback we receive from physical and virtual objects and what might be lost in between.

For further information on the project including a printed publication, an exhibition of physical objects in Science Gallery Dublin and a dedicated app for the experience of the augmented objects go to www.david-beattie.net/assets

This project is generously supported by an Arts Council of Ireland Project Award, Dublin City Council and Science Gallery Dublin.
