CHANGES Live online opening – 4th November 2021 6pm Follow @changes_exhibition on Instagram for Zoom link The studio is an integral aspect of arts education. What happens when it is taken away? Belfast School of Art students in collaboration with artist Naomi Litvack present Changes, an online exhibition displaying work made before and after the 2020-21 Covid 19 pandemic. The project and the resultant exhibition aim to uncover the impact that the loss of studio environment has had on the development of student work in art schools and how, in a more general sense, environmental context influences creative thinking and production. Students worked collaboratively over a series of workshops to create the exhibition, which presents work made pre-and during lockdown, exploring the changes, alterations, influences and twists within the work due to the change in environment and circumstances precipitated by the lockdown and loss of studio space.
