Each year the DAS Home Residency supports 15+ artists through the process of developing and making new work. Artists have access to: state-of-the-art computers with industry standard software; free access to broadcast quality audio-visual equipment; training; and technical assistance. Calls to the home residency open three times a year and artists apply for a four-month period with specific project proposals. Since 2008 DAS has been showcasing work by artists-in-residence in three exhibitions a year, in partnership with local galleries, including: PS2; Platform Arts; Pollen Studios; Belfast Exposed; Cotton Court Gallery; The Beanbag Cinema; The Ulster University Art Gallery; and the Golden Thread Gallery.
This year DAS presents a single exhibition in the form of an Annual Review, featuring work by artists who participated in the Home Residency programme in 2018. Independent curators Daria Jelonek and Simon Poulter selected the works for this inaugural annual review. The featured artists are
