The “Earth Matters” Exhibition brings 4 multidisciplinary artists together, Deirdre Crofts, Ceara Doyle, Anne Schnittger and Adele Walsh, the artists spent time exploring the Phoenix Park, searching for inspiration, one of the largest enclosed public parks in any capital city in Europe. Where “Dublin goes to Breathe”. Each artist connected with the park in their own way, through the use of clay, textiles and paint. The sculptural pieces are made by hand, using recycled clay and textiles. Precious found materials are incorporated into the work, inspired by the earth, wildlife, changing colours, shadows, light and not least the spirits of the Phoenix Park, which herald spring growth and good fortune. The artists manifest their thoughts and concerns for the environment while constructing and connecting with their work. Map
