The OPW has kindly offered Feltmakers Ireland space during August 2020 to exhibit in the Visitor’s Centre in the Phoenix Park . If the opportunity arises, it will also be shown at the Knitting and Stitching Show.
The level of entries for this exhibition has been of a very high standard and the pieces have been judged by two independent jurors- one from The International Felters Association and one Non-member, established Irish felt Maker.
We are proud to present this high level of work from our guild members. The inspiration for these works centre around the current age of climate change and around our environment and the threats it is facing. Subjects include; the Corona virus, destroyed habitats, the threat to bees, the pollution of the oceans and the effects of all this on our mental health. The items range from sculptural to wearable.
