SUMMARY:Event | Garth Gratrix / Dip in the Pool Opening and Artist Talk at
 Mermaid Arts Centre
DESCRIPTION:\n\nDip in the Pool is Garth Gratrix's first major solo exhibit
 ion in Ireland. A sun-lounger of a show that looks\, from a distance\, lik
 e a holiday. \nGet closer\, and it's something else entirely: spinning pla
 tes\, custom beach towels\, suspended colour\, cruising-app intimacy\, gri
 ef\, inheritance\, fridge magnets and a very particular colour palette\, a
ll arranged according to rules that never quite resolve. \nGratrix (b. 198
4\, Blackpool\, UK) treats the gallery as a kind of free cruising ground
and a space to rest\, reinvent and reconsider. Join us for the opening of
this seductive exhibition with an introductory talk from the artist.
