The Rogue Gallery
‘Fantastic Voyage, a new work by Clare Scott, opens at 8pm on Thursday July 18th and runs for a month. It is a site-specific installation created with recycled materials and objects, predominantly wood, furniture, Perspex, plasterboard and cardboard. It takes its name from a 1966 movie in which a submarine crew are shrunk to microscopic size and injected into the body of an injured scientist to repair damage to his brain. The installation provides a proscriptive route through the gallery space. What the viewer may find on this journey remains to be seen.’
All are welcome.
The Rogue Gallery is open 2-6pm Wednesdays to Saturdays.
Clare is a multi-disciplinary artist interested in the process of making and the relationship of this process to the development and adaptation of the individual in response to events and stimuli both internal and external. Most recent works have been three dimensional constructions using recycled materials. Limitations are imposed by way of materials type, time and spatial concerns to reflect and access instinctive and unconscious responses.
