7pm – part of Late Night Art Belfast
Goldfish Bowl is an experimental residency developed by the University of Atypical in response to the changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. We invite you to follow a process-driven residency by artist Hugh O’Donnell, as he delves into the concept of isolation. Over the coming months the artist will explore what that means to him and how it might look. The project will include a schedule of live-streamed performances on our streaming and social media platforms.

Hugh O’Donnell is a Belfast based artist working in performance art, installation and drawing; utilising found objects in the making of art. His work is of an auto-personal nature and can be abstract and absurd at times. He studied at the University of Ulster, graduating with a degree and masters in Fine Art. He has exhibited internationally, alongside facilitating visual art and performance art workshops.
‘I am delighted to have been invited by University of Atypical to take part in ‘Goldfish Bowl’. My project will take many artistic forms and manifest in a body of new work, including a series of live-streamed events. Join me over the coming months online for a programme of new performances to camera. I intend during this process-based residency to explore ideas relating to isolation’
