SUMMARY:Home is where the art is | Des Murphy and James Flanagan at Tøn Ga
 llery
DESCRIPTION:Exhibition continues from 18/06/26.\n\nDes Murphy and James Fla
nagan present a two-person exhibition at TØN Gallery in Dublin’s Temple
Bar drawing on their lived experience of homelessness. The culmination of
their collaboration with artist Mark Redden\, Home is Where the Art Is qu
estions traditional notions of who is an artist and the place of art in co
ntemporary society. Guided by Joseph Beuys’ conviction that “Everyone
is an artist”\, this exhibition recognises Murphy and Flanagan not only
as advocates but as artists reshaping our culture and their personal narra
tives. Murphy and Flanagan are ambassadors for Focus Ireland’s Lived Exp
 erience Ambassador Programme (LEAP).
