‘Homeland’ takes place in Damer House Gallery every year from 2014 for 2 weeks, in collaboration with the Loop Festival Barcelona and Safia Art Contemporani – Barcelona, Catalunya, Spain.

The Homeland video selection in Silverbarn Studios, Co. Tipperary in collaboration with Damer House Gallery, is dedicated exclusively to video art and film. This annual event aims with to bring together professionals in all fields in the sector, filmmakers, writers, directors and producers within a space with international association. Homeland has become an National benchmark event, an active platform for the diffusion, creation and management of video art for fans and professionals.

Video/Film shorts garnered many new practitioners in the 60’s and 70’s with the widespread availability of inexpensive video cameras and projectors.
The upsurge has escalated and we now have a thriving community of film-makers all of whom are trying to find appropriate venues to show and disseminate their work with discerning audiences.

Damer House Gallery aims to provide a platform for contemporary film, providing a forum through dialogue, public discussions, and publications.

This year Damer House Gallery presents next to Loop Festival Barcelona, November 2020, Cage Gallery Barcelona.
