SUMMARY:I heard the footfall of the flower spring | Bernie Mc Adam at Ards
 Arts Centre
DESCRIPTION:Exhibition continues from the 13th of November to the 3rd of De
cember 2025.\n\nBernie Mc Adam's multi media art exhibition - I heard the
footfall of the flower spring - reflects an engagement with Greek mytholog
y through the lends of personal trauma and loss\, exploring how ancient na
rratives resonate with contemporary emotional landscapes. Bernie explores
the misrepresentation of women in particular who have been maligned and vi
lified by blinkered classicists with a patriarchal bias throughout the age
 s. Themes of injustice and betrayal emerge but values of kindness and humo
ur prevail. Her work includes a wide range of media including painting\, d
 rawing and print.
