SUMMARY:Intersection | Performance by Arlene Caffrey at the Tea Houses
DESCRIPTION:Performance: 6:00pm – 6:30pm.Q&amp\;A: 6:30pm – 6:45pm.\n'I
ntersection' is a live performance by visual artist Arlene Caffrey. It exp
lores how pole dancing can become a movement methodology for investigating
embodied experience and expressing the self within a performance art cont
ext. Merging her Fine Art practice with her award-winning pole dancing ski
lls\, this work navigates the space between past and present\, personal an
d cultural\, academic and physical. It asks whether such crossings can cre
ate a site of transformation and becoming. Performance will be followed by
a short Q&amp\;A with performance artist Emma Brennan.\n\n\n\n
