Joanne Boyle is a visual artist working and living in Ireland. She holds a BA in Visual Arts Practice, IADT, 2009. She is a founding member of Outpost Studios in Wicklow, 2014 and is a member of the Tellurometer Collective, 2012. She has exhibited widely throughout Ireland in both group and solo exhibitions. She is participating in an ongoing research based performance project, SOMA. Her work is an attempt to articulate the non-everyday occurrence alongside the everyday. It is used to observe the gap, the untouched moment ,inside and outside of the boundaries of material. These abstractions become paintings, drawings, movements, sometimes of everyday objects or moments, sometimes not.

Selected group exhibitions include PeripheriesOPEN, Wexford (2018) (2017), RHA Annual Exhibition, Dublin (2012) (2013) (2014). Boyle Arts Festival, invited artist, Boyle (2013), Here and Now, Greenacres Gallery,Wexford (2015) Panorama, Pallas Projects, Dublin (2015), Summer Show, Taylor Gallery, Dublin (2014), Outpost Studios,Mermaid Arts Centre, Wicklow (2016). Solo exhibitions include, ‘0.1’ Signal Arts Centre, Wicklow (2009), Joan Clancy Gallery, Waterford (2012). Residencies include Cill Rialaig, Kerry(2014); The LFTT Library @ The Guesthouse, Cork (2014), The Grainstore, Cabinteely, DLR(2009 ). Collections include Royal College of Surgeons, Wicklow County Council and a number of private collections.
