Solomon Fine Art is delighted to host an exhibition of new works in bronze by the popular and hugely talented sculptor Stephanie Hess. Hess’s second and much anticipated solo show with Solomon is her most vibrant exhibition yet as the artist presents bronzes in a spectrum of exciting new colours. Specially developed by Hess in conjunction with CAST bronze foundry in Dublin, these unique patinas are exclusive to the artist’s work and are as bright, brilliant and playful as the characters they adorn.
Created during a year of lock-downs Hess describes the works in Kaleidiscope as “a celebration of those small moments that for a brief time are all-absorbing, suspending all else around. Whatever the bigger picture may be, there is joy in the little things”.
Among these creatures “ living a happy moment of absorption in the Now” we encounter a bull pausing along his journey to enjoy the scent of a flower, a pair of rabbits watching the night sky and a horse enchanted by a butterfly that has landed on his nose.
The exhibition runs until 25 September.
