Hamilton Gallery are delighted to host this solo exhibition by local artist Páraic Mc Gloughlin.
In 2016 Páraic graduated with a B.A in Painting from the University of Fine Art in Poznan, Poland. His work consists predominantly of oil paintings, focusing mainly on the image of the face.
‘I see my work as an attempt to create an engaging visual environment by expressing myself uncompromisingly. I feel that the more of myself I put into my work the bigger chance I have of connecting with the viewer.
In my painting I aim to capture the expression of emotion and the experience of the mind, to express myself and to question and express what it is to be alive.
I love the idea of pushing the boundaries of art and what art can be but I feel strongly that art should always be about life.
I find inspiration everywhere, from music, film, painting and from many art forms but more importantly from my own life experience.’ Páraic Mc Gloughlin
