Rebecca Jobson is an Irish artist whose work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally; is held in public and private collections in Ireland, UK, USA, France and Germany; and most recently exhibited in Dublin, Berlin, New York and London. This is her first solo exhibit in France.
Realised in a narrative of paint, form and colour; the subject matter of Rebecca Jobson’s work derives from a diversity of sources. Vivid use of colour is a constant and unifying force throughout Rebecca’s paintings – a stimulus drawing her towards subjects she paints. The life forms in her work are not always represented in realistic form. Rather, she chooses to respond to them through conscious and unconscious expressions of the emotional landscape they have impressed upon her.
In this exhibition, Life Form, inspired by an ever-changing landscape of light and form, a fleeting human expression or the microscopic in flux, Rebecca Jobson seeks to explore the interdependent, impermanent and transient nature of life and the world it inhabits.
The Exhibition is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm. On Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 2pm to 6pm. The Exhibition is closed on Mondays.
