L’Ombra del Beato Regno (The shadow of the blessed kingdom) – exhibition – XXI Week of the Italian Language in the World.
The exhibition offers a reinterpretation “in images” of the Divine Comedy through the work of two contemporary artists: the painter and illustrator Mario Sughi (nerosunero) and the painter Andrea Mario Bert. The first proposes a modern and post-pandemic reinterpretation of the sins of Purgatory, the second presents a cycle of naturalistic-symbolic representations of the nine heavens of Paradise. The initiative is held on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri and is curated by Cesare Pomarici in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Bratislava and Univerzitná knižnica v Bratislave
L’Ombra del Beato Regno also one of the important events of the XXI Week of the Italian Language in the World.
Mario Sughi (nerosunero) lives and works in Dublin.
