The practice of the Amanda Rice addresses a variety of issues related to humanity’s impact on Earth’s ecosystems. Rice operates across moving image and sculpture. She has been exploring questions of geological nature with respect to two interrelated mechanics of capitalism: extraction and overproduction.

This exhibition brings together two films in the form of essays. Rice uses storytelling devices to mix fact and personal impressions in narratives that oscillate between history lessons and advertising. She considers themes of matter, industry, energy and colonialism.
