‘My Seven Year Stitch’ highlights seven years of creative work that helped me get through and extraordinary and tumultuous time. The art is created with recycled and waste materials.
Sally-Ann is a textile artist and serial crafter with a passion for contemporary hand embroidery. The art she creates mainly uses up-cycled, recycled and found materials in a variety of ways and themes. This exhibition highlights her art and how the creative projects she pursues helped her get through an extraordinary time. Creativity is a vital part of her resilience, well-being and positive mental health. Through her creative self-expression she enjoys a sense of accomplishment and self-esteem. She has appliqued, quilted, crafted, painted, up-cycled, recycled, stitched and embroidered her way through births, serious illness, family breakdowns, holidays, high days, low days and bereavements. Come and visit her exhibition and get inspired to do something creative!
