Arcade Studios is delighted to present a collaborative exhibition by emerging artist Fiona Nicholson and Matthew Wilson.

‘Of This Land, I Give To You’ forms a collaborative investigation of landscape by artists Fiona Nicholson and Matthew Wilson. The selected works display a cross section of the experiential nature of these investigations. Intimate material processes across media, mostly natural and derived from the landscapes from which the work speaks mediate these experiences.

Opening 7th of October at 6-9pm and running until the 28th of October.

Fiona Nicholson (b.1998) is a multidisciplinary artist based around Belfast. Working across drawing, painting, performance, lens-based media, and most recently, printmaking: her practice ultimately centers around making work in dialogue with Nature. Grounded in spirituality and guided by curiosity, Nicholson’s art practice exists alongside other practice in her life. Underpinned by concepts of hope and being, Nicholson’s practice is deeply intuitive and heartfelt.

Matthew Wilson (b.1997) is an artist living and working in northern Ireland. Intimately surveying the terrain of memory: navigating what to say and what to leave unsaid, Wilson’s work maps place, landscape and material. Works come to fruition through a variety of traditional and unconventional approaches, most commonly in the form of sculptural installation, drawing, performance and writing. Wilson gently renders experience and place into the visual whilst navigation his own relationship to a sense of belonging.
