Creative Europe Desk Ireland – Culture Office invite you to attend their Climate and Culture: Focus on Green webinar on Wednesday 25th May on Zoom: 10.30am – 12.30pm. We will look at how the cultural & creative sector in Ireland can contribute to Europe’s recovery and to its green, sustainable & inclusive future.

Guests & Case Studies:

  • Ruth Reichstein- Member of I.D.E.A. Advisory Board to the European Commission President on European Green Deal and New European Bauhaus.
  • Alice Ryan from the Arts Council of Ireland will present with Claire Buckley from Julie’s Bicycle in the UK on developing a new Climate Policy for the Arts Council.
  • Philipp Dietachmair from the European Cultural Foundation will look at green mobility for artists and the i-Portunus mobility award from Creative Europe.
  • Niamh Ní Chonchubhair from Axis Ballymun and artist Maeve Stone will reflect on the Creative Europe project Cultural Adaptations and their Green Arts Department.
  • Irish artist Rita Marcalo will join us live from her slow travel performative work SlowMo which is funded by Perform Europe.
  • Tania Banotti from Creative Ireland will chat about their Creative Climate Action Fund.
  • Bernadine Carroll will present the Reimagine project by Irish Architecture Foundation- a community and architectural project working with the people from Bórd na Móna villages across Ireland.
