Join us for this very special event with Michael Fortune, curator and folklorist with folklore.ie in conversation with Clíona O’Carroll, Research Director with the Cork Folklore Project and Lecturer with Béaloideas/ Folklore and Ethnology, UCC.
This promises to be an engaging conversation as they will discuss Michael’s practice as an archivist, folklorist, ethnographer, gatherer and collector of materials and material culture and his projects, collaborative practice and work with communities.

Michael Fortune is the Curator of Tangled, currently on show in the Municipal Gallery, dlr LexIcon, Dún Laoghaire. Tangled is an exhibition featuring the work of Ursula Burke, John Byrne, Alice Maher, Breda Mayock, John Power, Dermot Seymour and Michael Fortune. The exhibition has been curated by Michael Fortune who worked in collaboration with staff and participants from the Southside Travellers Action Group.
