Online Event | Accessible Professional Development Programme for Artists and Arts Workers from Cork County Council – July 2021

The Accessible Professional Development Programme is a series of four webinars via Zoom with an array of artists and artists professionals. The programme will be delivered by Cork County Council Arts Office and facilitated by Róisín Power Hackett. The programme aims to encourage artists and arts workers in all art forms in County Cork to develop arts projects. This programme will focus on access to supports for people with disabilities. However, people without disabilities are very much invited to attend. Cork County Council wants to assist in the development of these projects through support in exhibiting, performing, presenting, or publishing work. This support will be given in this programme through connecting artists and arts workers with each other and with the directors, curators, critics, playwrights, and theatre makers who will speak during the webinars. Furthermore, this programme will introduce the grants, bursaries and supports available to artists and arts workers through Cork County Council Arts Office and Arts and Disability Ireland.
These 4 webinars will take place on Zoom. They will take the format of panel discussions with an audience Q + A at the end. The webinars are free, but you must book them on Eventbrite. See the 4 webinars with their Eventbrite links below. If you have any access needs, please get in touch with the Assistant Art Officer Maeve Mulrennan at creativeireland@corkcoco.ie or phone (021) 4285995. We can offer captioning and ISL if you need, but please contact Maeve as soon as possible.
This webinar programme is organised by Cork County Council Library and Arts Service and is funded by the Arts Council and Creative Ireland. They will comply with our child and vulnerable adult safeguarding policy and General Data Projection Regulations.
