In 2019, Judith led the National Museums first LGBTI+ exhibition, Rainbow Revolution and co-founded Queer Culture Ireland (QCI) with Kate Drinane, a support network for anyone interested in Irish Queer Culture. In 2020 QCI launched The Quilt: Echoes & Memories, all forming part of her PhD exploring The Healing Museum.

I Am What I Am
Exhibition and Events 5th June – 31st July
I Am What I Am is a nuanced celebration of queer artists who work with gender, sexuality, identity and queer politics.This adventurous exhibition within Ballina Arts Centre will bring together artists from all backgrounds to unite in a diverse exploration of queer art in Ireland today. As part of a broader programme of exhibition events Judith Finlay will present this important lecture on celebrating legacy and making new ones.
