DESCRIPTION:\n\nDebbie Godsell presents a new body of hybrid works that occ
 upy an ambiguous space between image\, object\, and surface. Combining uph
 olstery\, repurposed textiles\, sculpture\, photography\, and printmaking\
 , the works feature layered and manipulated imagery disrupted through padd
 ing\, stitching\, and printing processes.\nThe artist explores how landsca
 pe\, folklore\, and historical narratives shape cultural identity and coll
 ective memory. Drawing on contested and culturally sensitive histories\, G
 odsell examines the stories through which Irish identity has been construc
 ted\, paying particular attention to the tensions and omissions embedded w
 ithin them.
