 s-1511008209229?aff=oddtdtcreator\nCiara Davitt is a multi-disciplinary ar
tist based between Kildare and Dublin. She aims to create cycles of taking
\, giving and sharing through her work. Her graduate work\, “did you kno
w gold comes from the stars” emerges from research on the socio-politica
l conditions of extraction and land. Speaking to the heavy contrasts prese
nt between the timescales of the landscape and human productivity\, harsh
and soft materials\, and fast and slow processes\, are used.\nAcidity of t
he soil\, field recordings\, casts of her Dad’s fingers and reclaimed me
tal are some of the things implemented-drawing out a conversation around r
upture\, time\, wealth distribution and social impact.\nNina Fitzgerald Gr
aham is a multi-disciplinary artist recently graduated from Sculpture and
Expanded Practice in NCAD. Her practice is firmly rooted in Dublin's North
Inner City\, exploring community formation and alienation\, and our sensi
tivities to the stranger - human and non-human.\nShe employs a multisensor
y approach in art-making\, to create embodied experience of these seemingl
y intangible issues. She has an experimental approach to material and medi
um\, working across sculpture\, interactive installation and performance a
rt\, as well as food-art as a form of interactive sculpture and socially e
ngaged practice. Her work has been presented at a variety of interdiscipli
nary showcases\, such as Alternating Currents at the Complex\, EVA Interna
tional Biennial and OpenEar Festival. Her work is socially and environment
ally engaged\, produced in tandem with her activities as a community organ
iser\, and DIY/grassroots collaborator.\nMica Moroney is an artist from Du
blin and a recent graduate of Sculpture at NCAD. Working across photograph
y\, video\, sculpture\, and installation\, her practice explores the inter
section of the poetic and the political. She is interested in the physical
traces left by time\, neglect\, and regeneration\, and how these processe
s mirror broader social and environmental tensions. Drawing from nature\,
urban environments and the urgency of our political moment\, she feels a r
esponsibility as an artist to reflect these concerns in her work.\nMuine B
heag Arts is pleased to present COMMUNE from 15th - 25th August 2025. Taki
ng place in and around the Muine Bheag Community Centre\, the programme un
folds as a collection of live events\, workshops and public interventions.
\nCOMMUNE is a site for assembling and disseminating ideas\, emerging from
a central studio and gathering space shared by artists\, community groups
\, collaborators and graduates-in-residence. COMMUNE can be understood as
a series of small collective actions and gestures which reach towards syst
ems of support and connection.\nCOMMUNE is kindly supported by the Arts Co
uncil of Ireland\, Carlow Arts Office\, Creative Ireland Carlow and Bagena
 lstown Creative Places
