OPENING LAUNCH @ 7PM 05/03/20

Caireann McElligott is a textile designer creating patterns and repeats that are used to create energy, life, character and movement to surfaces. Her work explores narrative, is highly detailed and appeals to the contemporary market. The designer’s key influences come from Egyptian symbols and hieroglyphics, Nasca lines, astrology, labyrinth pathways, mathematical puzzles, quantum physics and quantum mechanics.

The ‘Quantum’ collection is a series of quirky stylistic patterns and placement prints for both fashion and interiors. The designs have a certain amount of humour to them and are impactful, modern and fun. How many different symbols/objects can you find and list in Irish? Or can you find any hidden letters in the patterns and make a word or sentence in Irish?
